Department of Energy 2023 Regulatory HVAC Efficiency Requirements

As of January 1, 2023, all new residential central air-conditioning and air-source heat pump systems sold in the United States are required to meet new minimum energy efficiency standards

How does this affect my household?

Effective January 1, 2023, the higher efficiency equipment will become the base model. If you need a new heat pump or AC/furnace combo, you’ll need to purchase more energy-efficient equipment. However, the higher efficiency equipment does come at a higher price point. We currently offer this premium equipment as an option for our customers.

When the new regulations come into effect, we will no longer be able to sell equipment that doesn’t meet the new regulations. We’ll still be able to repair and service older equipment and get parts, but any equipment installed after January 1st, 2023, will be required to meet the new regulations.

What can Rye Heating and Air do to help?

At Rye Heating and Air Conditioning, we value each customer, and we take pride in serving our community and offering reasonable pricing. We know that HVAC replacement can be costly and sometimes an unexpected expense.

Now through the end of the year, we have decided to offer a minimum of $1,000 off the replacement of complete systems while supplies last. We provide several financing options at low monthly rates pending approval from Ally Financing. We offer free, no obligation estimates. We provide several options, explain each option, and let you make the best decision for you and your family. Please call us today to schedule your free, no-obligation estimate.
